Many students travel abroad during the autumn term, whether for study placements, university exchanges or short trips. Staying protected with the right vaccines is an essential part of safe travel. The Meningitis ACWY vaccine is particularly important for students living in shared accommodation or travelling long-term. It protects against serious forms of meningococcal disease and is strongly recommended for first-year university students aged 18-25.
